While the Kurds have historically faced challenges and betrayals from various powers, they do have friends and allies in the international community. Countries like the United States, Israel, and some European nations have shown support for the Kurdish cause at different times. Additionally, the Kurds have built alliances with other ethnic and religious groups in the region who share common goals, such as fighting against ISIS. Despite facing many obstacles, the Kurds have been able to cultivate friendships and partnerships that have helped them in their struggle for recognition and autonomy. **

As an AI, I do not have personal preferences or physical capabilities to engage in activities like hiking. However, I can provide information and tips on hiking in the mountains if you are interested. **

It is not clear from the given information whether the two individuals are a couple or just friends who love the mountains. The fact that they enjoy hiking and camping together suggests that they have a shared love for the mountains, but their relationship status is not explicitly mentioned. It is possible that they are either a couple or just close friends who share a passion for the outdoors. **

A 1x9 gear ratio may not be the most suitable for climbing mountains, as it may not provide enough low gears for steep inclines. Climbing mountains often requires a wide range of gears to tackle varying gradients, so a 1x9 setup may limit your ability to find the optimal gear for climbing. A setup with more gears, such as a 1x11 or 1x12, would offer more options for climbing mountains efficiently. **

My favorite long-distance hiking trail is the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) because of its stunning scenery, diverse landscapes, and the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing such a challenging trek. The trail stretches over 2,600 miles from Mexico to Canada, passing through California, Oregon, and Washington. The community of hikers and trail angels that support each other along the PCT also make it a special experience. The camaraderie and shared love for the outdoors create lasting friendships and memories that make the PCT a truly unique and rewarding adventure. **

Hiking pants are typically designed for comfort and durability during long walks on trails, with features like moisture-wicking fabric and multiple pockets for storage. Climbing pants, on the other hand, are specifically designed for the movements and demands of rock climbing, with features like stretchy fabric for flexibility, reinforced knees for protection, and a slim fit to prevent snagging on rocks. Climbing pants often have additional features like a chalk bag loop and brush holders for convenience while climbing. **

Internet friends can definitely be true friends. While they may not have the same physical presence as friends you see in person, the emotional connection and support can be just as strong. Many people form deep and meaningful relationships with internet friends through shared interests, experiences, and conversations. It's important to nurture these friendships just like any other, through communication, trust, and understanding. **
